John Bassette, GRI, ABR, Principal Broker/Partner, brings to the Woodstock real estate team over 25 years experience as a real estate broker in Vermont and neighboring New Hampshire. Over his long career in VT and NH real estate, John has successfully guided clients through hundreds of real estate transactions. He has his Graduate Realtor Institute certification (GRI) and is an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). Along with this skill set John has taken countless real estate courses and has Negotiation Specialist and eMarketing Specialist certifications. 20+/- years ago John was the sole MLS computer instructor to the Upper Valley Realtors when we went from bi-weekly printed B&W MLS books to a digital electronic MLS. John was raised in Vermont and "in the Dark Ages" was the United States National Ski Jumping Champion (1978). He is an extremely involved father of nine (9) with his lovely wife Donna-Lee and lives in Hartland Vermont. A fanatical skier who "loves speed", is training for the Vermont 100 Ultra-Marathon, a big supporter of the Woodstock Union High school cross country running, track, & nordic ski teams, and is actively involved in his local church. John earned his BA-Psychology starting at Middlebury College and finishing at the University of Vermont. |
John Snyder, MBA, CFA, President/Partner, brings to the real estate business a background in global finance and marketing, before relocating to the area 8 years ago. John's career began at JP Morgan Investment in New York, where he ultimately ran a $30 billion portfolio management business. He then headed capital raising and client relationship management at a $3 billion private hedge fund based in Greenwich, CT. John and his wife, Ellen, relocated to the Woodstock area in 2004/5. They have designed and built many lovely and historic homes and enjoy the design/build process. John S now works full time in the real estate business, helping both buyers and sellers. John has travelled to 26 countries and 46 of the U.S. states, but now resides full-time in lovely Barnard, Vermont. He is actively involved in the local community serving as Chairman of the Barnard DRB (Zoning) Board, is a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and serves as a board member of several private foundations. John's hobbies include playing music in a local band and with his son, Jack; He plays racquet sports and enjoys the healthy, beautiful outdoors of VT. John earned his BA-History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MBA-Finance from Cornell University during which time he was selected to attend the London Business School. |
